Mark Hearld, Charley Harper, Lucie Sheridan and framing some unexpected objects!

Mark Hearld cardsTaylor and I have spent the last couple of weeks it seems unpacking endless boxes of exciting new products for the shop, it just keeps on coming in!
Despite panicking that we are fast running out of room in our modest little shop, we are very pleased with it all and our customers reactions have been equally positive.  Our current window is full of beautifully designed gifts including new Mark Hearld images embossed onto sketch books and printed onto gorgeous cards from the Tate, and Charley Harper's brilliant creatures on a great collection of toys and games.
Lucie Sheridans playful Tiger screen print looks perfect amongst the menagerie!
Kings Framers: October window from Lewes Hight Street
Here are a few of the new lines now in at our Lewes Shop.
Gift and present ideas now in our Lewes Shop
At Kings Framers we are asked very often to make frames for objects and as our strengths are in the more complex aspects of construction it is always a pleasure to do something more tricky. This week we have made a lovely oak box frame for this sharks jaw and even more curious is this unexplained arrangement of embroidery and oilcan, perfectly preserved in a crisp lacquered cube.

I am very excited to be up in London tomorrow at Multiplied 2011, the first Art Fair dedicated to editions, held at Christie's.
It has a very strong line up of Galleries showing and I look forward to telling you about it in my next blog entry.
