ColoursBeautiful things arrived first thing on Monday morning this week and threw us into chaos trying to find room to display them all.  We took out the window display with wonderful stripyness and it is now full of very pretty textiles and storage boxes, good for stowing away precious ephemera as you get down to some serious spring cleaning! The shop now smells deliciously of candles!

Taylor is unpacking new prints from Vanessa Cooper as I type. The artist's newly launched prints celebrate colour and elements of decoration.

We are also taking on work from well established artists Anna Pugh and Iain Faulkner which is quite a departure for us but we are asked for his work. We thought we'd give it a try and I am very much looking forward to seeing how they are received by our customers.

Our workshop are busy as ever making beautiful frames for happy customers, here is award winning portrait artist Jean-Paul Tibbles collecting two framed portraits yesterday, one a terrifyingly good self portrait. Also pictured( very badly on my iPhone) is the ever cheery Taylor!

Our lovely team in the workshop have also been working on new samples for us to use in the shop as examples of finishes, I am hoping to show these off over the weekend.

Now I know my photography is far from good, but I maybe about to improve! I have enlisted my brilliant son Jerome whose natural ability far exceeds mine and a brand new book just in our shop in Lewes 'iphonography' which looks great and just may improve my image making skills.

Now these are wonderful photos, taken of India's Holi, the Festival of colour, this week, celebrating the arrival of spring Hurrah!

Yesterday was International Women's day. I send my love to all women striving away doing whatever they do to improve the lives of those around them.
